Years ago my husband & I visited Boston with friends. Our number one agenda was to eat as much lobster as we could until our hearts were content. We ate it everyday for lunch & dinner prepared any & probably every kind of way imaginable to us for 5 days. We never grew tired of it & returned home still desiring more lobster. Occasionally, we are surprised with a shipment of lobster from one of my husband's friends in Maine...whoowho! Out comes the big boiling pot with an unexpected dinner party. No one ever turns down our invitation on such short notice.

Yeah, in Connecticut and New York a lot of places stuff and broil lobsters, but mostly that just dries them out, I think. I'm not sure if crab tomalley is as good as lobster, but I'd guess that its similar. In a lobster, the tomalley is a mush of the liver and some other organs. It's basically lobster pate! I've never eaten it in a crab, but I've eaten it in a crawfish, and that was pretty good!

Broiling lobsters?! I've never heard of that! Also, about the tomalley- is it like the goo in crabs? I can't really handle that, but maybe I need to give it a try.
I guess this is why I usually stick to lobster rolls when I'm back in Rhode Island.
