I am so glad to find this site. I am doing a history search on my family and I have known for years that we are somehow related through my mother. She spoke of the Washington Arms and how she lived there as a child and the owner was an Uncle. She spoke of how it burned down and that there was a large rock in front with the natural formation of what seemed to look like George Washingtons profile. I have always wondered if this was true. Would love to hear back from you. Thanks and best regards

Well now I am intrigued, and I'll have to check it out. Chain or no, I've hardly met a sandwich I didn't like, or at least like well enough to eat. :)

I havent tried Schlotskys yet. I kind of lumped it in with all the chainy places and figured on it having soft bread, processed meat, and faux bagels, but if I gear a good word I might give it a shot. Is it good?
