Day Three
Rain, rain don't go you go away, at least not yet. I'm enjoying the simple pleasure of a damp and dimly lit afternoon, enabling an ultra-lazy weekend. Now that I'm a Texan, I've learned to welcome the water. We need it dearly, and besides, 300 days a year of sunshine are more than enough. Now and then it's nice to curl up on the couch sipping tea. An added bonus to the rain is that it traps my dear husband indoors. No disc golf for him today. That means he'll have to spend his time with me, cuddling, playing music together, or watching old reruns on our laptop while I stitch this or that.
It also gives me time to work on this.
It doesn't look like much now, but in a short time it will become a lovely quilt. My husband is lobbying for it to be gifted to our newest niece, but these particular fabrics have been hoarded away for a special purpose. With any luck, I'll have someone to give it to by next year. Cross your fingers.
