Watch Me Battle For Culinary Glory, March 10 & 11

Holy crap, world.

I am now officially signed up for TWO awesome cooking throwdowns on the weekend of March 10. Saturday, 03/10, you can find me at Central Market (North Lamar) competing with Theo Peck in a Brooklyn Lager themed culinary battle. Tastings start at 11:30 AM. Come out, taste, and vote!

(Want a hint about what I'm making?  I'll give you three words: caramel, beer, blackberries.  Excited yet?)

On Sunday, 03/11, I'll be in the company of twenty of Austin's best local cooks. We'll each be bringing our best re-invention of Austin's most beloved food, the taco. Tickets to the Austin Taco Experiment include free beer, twenty tastings, and your chance to cast a vote for your favorite experimental dish.  If you are visiting Austin that weekend, it's the perfect way to celebrate Austin while you are in town for SXSW.  If you live here, come out and show some love for your local food community!

Just so you can see how much fun this is going to be, take a look at my post from last year's Austin Pork Experiment.

P.S.  My entry this year stars my one true love, ICE CREAM!  Don't miss it!
