Hangout With Mary Makes Dinner

Hey folks! I have two upcoming hangouts on Google Plus.  I'd love for you to join me for each of them.

The first is this Saturday.  I'll be going over the veggies that I get every week from Johnson's Backyard Garden, here in Austin.  Our seasonal veggies vary a little from the rest of the country, but I'm hoping that a little Q&A and some recipe ideas will be helpful to people all over the place.  If you have a question about any of the veggies I'll be featuring, please let me know.  I'd love to answer it during Saturday's hangout.  The hangout will be On Air, so you can watch it later via YouTube if you can't make it live.  Veggies that will be in this week's box and discussion are:

  • Radishes
  •  Braising Mix
  •  Bok Choy
  •  Broccoli or Cabbage
  •  Kale
  •  Sweet Potatoes
  •  Beets
  •  Summer Squash
  •  Sweet and Hot Peppers
  •  Eggplant

The next hangout I have coming up is being done in collaboration with ChefHangout.com. I'll be doing a demo on one of my favorite things, quick pickles! Watch my hangout to learn how to make delicious, safe, and easy pickles without the long term commitment of fermentation.

Want to be a part of the live hangout audience for either event? Leave me a comment with a link to your Google+ profile, and tell me which hangout you'd like to join.
