Hi Hannah! I have the very same dinner party fantasy! Maybe we should organize some kind of blog-along someday? The bridge at Comicpalooza is the real thing! It was rescued a few days before destruction by a group of star trek actors, designers, and crew. They are turning it into a non-profit museum. People are even going to be able to get married there soon. Pretty cool! (Makes me want to get re-married, lol)

I am always really curious about what it's like to watch TNG for the first time as an adult. It must feel super cheesy, at least in the beginning. As a kid, it all felt so intense and dramatic. (Except for Yar. All my sisters and I thought Yar was the worst. Oh, and Dr. Pulaski. What a hack!) Anyway, thanks for stopping by the blog! I am having fun exploring yours now. It's always great to meet another geeky cook. That raspberry cake looks so good!

i just started watching next generation because i saw the movie and liked it and i am totally in love! i'm kind of mad i've been missing out all these years!
i agree about convention fees too. i'm a super fan of many things, but i just can't stomach paying so MUCH for just a signature or picture, and probably getting herded through really fast. it seems so dumb to me.

!!!! I love finding out that bloggers I read are Star Trek fans! I'm not going to clog up your comments with my love for Star Trek because it would go on and on and on. I will just say that I also pay close attention to the food references on Star Trek. Specifically the drinks. I will eventually throw some sort of Very Nerdy Star Trek party and will need to know how to replicate (ha!) Romulan Ale, Kanar, Blood Wine, Slug-o-Cola, etc.
Take pictures and have fun!! My husband and I went to Star Trek: The Exhibition in 2009 when we lived in LA and it was really freaking cool. The bridge is an experience! It was a recreation though. Is the one at Comicpalooza the real thing?!
