BlogHer Food 13: My Bucket List

I'm Going to BlogHer Food '13

Tomorrow evening the festivities for BlogHer Food 13 will unofficially begin. Food bloggers from all over the place will be congregating in Austin, rubbing elbows, living it up, and honing their bloggy skills.

By the by, I'd love to meet you. No, really, I mean it. It truly makes me happy to meet people who read my blog, so if you see me at BlogHer Food please don't be shy. I'm the thirty-something year old woman with half her hair cut off and an avocado/ice cream cone tattoo. I look like this:

AFE692

I'm excited to be speaking on a panel this year, all about distributing video content. I'll be accompanied on the panel by the ever-so-lovely Hilah Johnson of Hilah Cooking. The panel will be moderated by Stacie Billis, who blogs at One Hungry Mama. If you are attending BlogHer Food I would love for you to come and listen to us discuss the ins and outs of video blogging. The Panel is titled How and Where to Distribute Your Video and will be taking place on Saturday afternoon.

In addition to speaking on a panel, I intend to soak up as much knowledge as I can during all of the other panels and workshops going on. After perusing the schedule, I have my eye on the following lineup.

Thursday

  • Bites and Bloggers, a party hosted by the Austin Food Blogger Alliance

Friday

  • Principles of Storytelling (Merry-Jennifer Markham, Molly Wizenberg, Rachel Matthews, Jenny Rosenstrach)
  • Mobile Development for Food Blogs (Jennie Chen, Henry Fong, John Knox, Michelle Tam)
  • Write to be Read Workshop (Alexandra Williams)
  • East Side Pub Crawl (Joshunda Saunders)

Saturday

  • Food Blogging for the Next Generation (Anna Lappe, Lisa Stone, Elly Spinweber, Lea Webb, Michelle Berger Marshall)
  • Write a Cookbook Proposal Workshop (Corinne Fay, Sally Ekus)
  • How and Where to Distribute Your Video (Hilah Johnson, Stacie Billis, Me!)
  • Closing Party at Stubb's (Hosted by blog celebs, Ree Drummond, Jaden Hair, and Elise Bauer)

So, will I see you there? What panels and events are you most excited to attend?
