Good luck. As a lacto-ovo vegetarian with a baby who had a gassy belly, I wish you all the success in the world figuring it out. We did bio-gaia drops. Either way, the 1st 3.5 months were hard until his system caught up. When we started solids it was the same. Now, despite a very reduced bio meat diet, we are finding that the only meat he'll eat is beef. He's great with tofu but forget about chicken or fish. I'm not sure why but his stomach just seems to do better that way. I don't know if your little one will be the same but if nothing else, having gone through the gassy baby stage, I know that it can be challenging so if you're going through the similar experience. .. it gets better :)

Good for you for keepin' it real. I'm happy you are feeling good with the new diet and hoping that Charlie's gastric distress is relieved soon, too!

I see this happening with a lot of vegans and vegetarians, myself included. I was a vegan for 9 years. Both becoming vegsn and stopping being vegan were two of the best things i've ever done for myself.

As one whose dietary default mode is lacto-ovo vegetarian, I just want to express my whole-hearted support. You're doing what you feel is best for you (and your adorable little family) right now, and my admiration is rooted in your courage to be conscious and thoughtful about the choices you are making.
I was raised the same way, and although I do eat a bit of fish and poultry on occasion, for me it would be a real challenge to make such a change (except for the occasional nibble of lamb or goat or Franklin brisket, red meat still rather befuddles me). I am genuinely looking forward to seeing how you approach this transition and wishing you deliciously good health.
