Urban’s guide about sleeping is AWESOME! helped us so much! I thought that my son will be rock to sleep forever but after reading the guide and applying the method after 3 days he falls asleep on his own without rocking!! I am so excited about it that I need to share it with other parents!
And I really like this blog – it’s a good read 🙂

In reply to Joanna. Sweet! Thanks Joanna! I knew that reading about other parents' experience is the best way to find something that works! "How to teach a baby to fall asleep alone" guide by S. Urban is THE BEST! We went from our daughter rocking to sleep and waking almost every hour, to falling asleep without any rocking and sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT last night. In a span of two days! how amazing is that! Thanks again!

Sleep training works and what is more it make parents and a baby much more happy! I always thought that sleep training is a long process and apparently I was wrong. When my baby girl was 4 months old I tried the Hold With Love method by Susan Urban from her HOW TO TEACH A BABY TO FALL ASLEEP ALONE guide ( http://www.parental-love.com ). My daughter has always been a pretty terrible sleeper so I thought it is going to be a long trip to get her to sleep properly but after a few days we made it ( ONLY A FEW DAYS!!!!!!!). After the HWL method she falls asleep on her own without rocking and her naps looks much better. We are eliminating night feedings now with the HWL and it looks promising.
I am glad I decided to change my daughter’s sleeping habits and we are all much more happy now.

Hi Rosalie,
Thanks for sharing you experience with the girls. I’m glad to know I’m not alone in suffering through their tears. I am hoping we can find another way to get him to sleep, but so far it’s not looking good so we’ll probably end up having to sleep train him after all. I just don’t know if I’ll ever be ready. It’s good to hear things are better on the other side though. Do they go down now without crying?

Mary,
Letting the girls cry to sleep(checking on them every 5,10, then 15 minutes) was one of the hardest things I have had to do as a mother. I hated every second of it and wanted to give in multiple times. Adam helped me stay strong and I would sometimes leave the house. Its probably one of the best things we’ve done. The girls sleep 7 to 7 every night and it is amazing. They are happier too, It really made a world of difference, but like I said, it was totally awful and I hated it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
