More More More: Day Jobs, Spring Cleaning, and Digital Love Notes

Having way too much fun with mica and glitter.

Howdy friends! I have some pretty amazing news to share with you today.

After almost ten years of blogging, writing, and DIY formulating I am finally working on a completely freelance basis! That’s right. No more day job. Between a small amount of income generated here on MMG, working as the editor and author of The Natural Beauty Workshop, and picking up assignments for blogs and magazines whenever I can, I’m able to do what I love best as my full-time gig.

Speaking of gigs, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been taken on as a part-time contributor at for one of my very favorite blogs, A Beautiful Mess! I shared my first post with them last week – a tutorial for DIY Crystal Soaps. Keep an eye on ABM for more of my DIY projects coming soon.

Lemi Shine Giveaway on Instagram

The folks over at Lemi Shine, a local maker of natural home cleaning products sent me a free box full of goodies to check out. I’m looking forward to testing these out – or to be totally honest, I’m looking forward to my husband checking them out. He’s really the clean-freak of the family.

I’m not quite as enthusiastic about keeping things spic and span. But, when I do tidy up I much prefer using natural and plant-based products. This bundle of Lemi Shine goodies smell great and are made with ingredients that I feel comfortable with. Visit my Instagram to enter to win your own box of Lemi Shine products.

This month’s MightyFix delivery contained a set of stainless steel drinking straws. I am a straw lover, so this was a great surprise. Paperless Post gifted me with some complementary credit for their digital greeting card and invitation services. Their cards (both print and digital) are exceptionally cute, so I had fun picking out little hellos for friends and family. I might even splurge on invitations for CC’s birthday in May. They have several different dinosaur options that would be really adorable.

Check out this card I made for Scott Bobleo!
