Local Hero: Austin’s Snap Kitchen

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Snap Kitchen. All opinions are my own.

Snap Kitchen

Happy Mother’s Day, everybody! I teamed up with Snap Kitchen to share an awesome gift idea with you all. A gift certificate to Snap Kitchen is a nice way to treat the mamas in your life to some healthy, ready-to-eat meals. Snap Kitchen orders can be picked up at four different locations here in Austin or they can be delivered right to your door! Snap also has locations in Dallas, Houston, and Philadelphia.

Snap Kitchen

The folks at Snap Kitchen hooked me up with some credit to try the meals for myself last week. It was great timing. I’m on week 34 of a high risk pregnancy and am pretty much pooped. Taking a break from meal planning and cooking was a nice treat, and I even took advantage of Snap’s delivery service so that I could make the experience even easier.

Snap Kitchen

For my first order I tried out a few different lunch and dinner options, a crunchy chopped salad, two breakfast items, and a sweet treat from Hail Merry. Ordering with the Snap Kitchen App was super easy and delivery was really quick!

My favorite dishes were the Chicken Pad Thai with Spiralized Sweet Potatoes and the Chopped Sesame Salad. These were packed with flavor and were super filling. I wasn’t as crazy about the breakfast tacos, but I’m kind of a taco snob to tell you the truth, so it wouldn’t stop me from trying more dishes at Snap Kitchen in the future.

In fact, I can definitely foresee more delivery orders happening after baby arrives! Snap Kitchen credit would be a GREAT gift for new moms and dads. I can tell you from experience, easy food choices are key when it comes to surviving those first few months with baby.

Big thanks to Snap Kitchen for teaming up with me on this post. If you’d like to try Snap Kitchen for yourself, or order a gift for your favorite mama, check out SnapKitchen.com.
