How to Cook Whole Grains

Day Twenty Eight

Isn’t it just peachy how popular whole grains are?  It makes them so accessible.  These days, you can find all kinds of whole grains, exotic or dull in almost any well stocked grocery store.  Pretty convenient, I must say.  Thanks to the internet, you can find recipes for them just as easily.  From Brown Rice and Quinoa to Spelt and Wheat Berries, there is no shortage of grains to experiment with, but keeping track of cooking times for them all can be a little mind boggling.

Just today I was trying to remember for the umpteenth time how many cups of water to cook brown rice with.  That’s when I decided to make myself a handy dandy little chart so that I wouldn’t have to second guess my memory anymore.

Cute, huh?  If you like it, then you can download and print your own right here:  Download MMD_GrainChart I strongly suggest coloring in the letters.  You could even doodle something nice around the edges.
