30 Days With a Grateful Heart: Forgiveness

Day Thirty

Sometimes, I might drink too much champagne and consequently act "the fool".  This course of action is not all that popular with Dear Husband, especially when he is being a responsible designated driver.  When you are sober, drunk people can be awfully annoying.  By the time we got home he was seriously perterbed with me.  Not a great way to kick off the new year. Whoops.

I woke up with a foggy head and a worried heart this morning, thinking that he'd still be mad.  But when he finally opened his sleepy eyes I gave him a big hug, said I was sorry, and was greeted with immediate forgiveness.

It was almost worth getting him mad to begin with.

Happy New Year's, everyone.  Here's to forgiving 2011 for its dissapointments, and holding onto only the moments that filled you with joy.  May the coming year be everything you hope and more.
