Prevention R3 Summit | Austin, TX January 15-16
Prevention's R3 Summit will be coming back to Austin in just ten more days! I was invited to attend this year's event as a brand ambassador – meaning that I get to share the event with you through Mary Makes Good AND hook you up with a special discount on tickets. Just use the code R3BLOG to take $20 off your weekend pass.

This year's event will be kicking off with a special celebratory reception including a multi-course dinner curated by James Beard nominated chef and Top Chef Masters star, Monica Pope. Friday's event will also include live music and a talk with the nationally acclaimed meditation expert, Bob Roth.

Saturday's summit will include sessions, talks, and workshops with a number of inspiring people including:

  • Keynote speaker, Joan Lunden, an award-winning journalist, bestselling author, health and wellness advocate, motivational speaker, successful entrepreneur, and a mom of seven children
  • Motivational speaker & activist Lizzie Velasquez, author of A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story
  • Dr. Travis Stork and Dr. Jennifer Ashton of the Emmy-nominated show The Doctors
  • Celebrity Personal Trainer Larysa DiDio
  • Sex Doctor Lauren Streicher
  • Dr. Wendy Bazilian, a leader in the fields of nutrition and fitness
  • Chef Chad Sarno, former head Chef of Whole Foods

The day will also feature group workout sessions, chef cooking demos, guided meditation, yoga, as well as a variety of wellness consultations.

I attended last year's summit with my little bundle of joy in tow. I had a great day learning about food, fitness, and mental health, kicked back with snacks and drinks, and even got a lovely henna tattoo. As I will be unencumbered this year I mean to live it up even more. Perhaps I will get a massage!
