I love a good scrub, don’t you? Nothing leaves your skin feeling quite so smooth and silky as a nice salt scrub. Himalayan pink salt is a lovely choice for making scrubs. It’s pretty speckled colors and rich mineral content make it a pleasure to use, and my honey rose salt scrub is one of my favorite ways to enjoy it.
I use a combination of honey and apricot oil to lubricate this scrub. Apricot oil has a light, non-greasy texture that moisturizes without leaving skin feeling weighed down. Honey, a natural humectant, helps amp up the scrub’s moisturizing ability by drawing moisture to the skin. This gives the honey rose salt scrub a soft and slippery texture that leaves skin feeling super soft and happy.
Rose essential oil gives the scrub a beautiful aroma and a boost of skin softening and balancing benefit. Honey rose salt scrub is perfect for body care. You can use it on your arms, legs, torso, and feet – but it’s a little too aggressive for facial care. Try using it before shaving, or as a weekly exfoliation ritual.
Personally, I love taking a batch of honey rose salt scrub with me tot he bath. I scrub up from head to toe before having a nice soak. By the time I dry off I feel like a whole new lady – soft, smooth, and happily relaxed.
